One of the major shifts in branding in recent years has seen businesses focus less on what a product is / what it does and more on why you should choose it. This movement away from the absolute and towards the subjective has propelled brand storytelling to the heart of contemporary marketing campaigns
Writing about your business or yourself can be a formidable task, and sometimes it’s difficult to know where to start, and when to finish. This self-penned piece explores some different ways of thinking about how storytelling works, taking a creative perspective on how an audience engages with a story, avoiding marketing speak, and making use of references from film, education, literature and business.
