This is an identity for Essentia, a company that emerged from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital providing integrated IT, transport and catering solutions for institutional clients.
Grown from a healthcare background, the brand needed to be both open and approachable and complementary to the NHS associate brand. It also needed to be strong enough to lead a campaign and transparent enough to take a back seat to an primary message.
An overlapping sans serif logotype emphasises the organic nature of the business and the merging of skill sets that constitute their offer. The stylised ‘a’ can be used singularly as a graphic device or combined, rotated and overlapped to produce brand textures.
